How we track your close rate, and how to use it
Every lead has a status. Keep it current and the numbers do the rest.
- Free to join, no contracts
- Customers pick you by name
- You set your lead limits
What we track
Each lead moves through statuses you set: New, Contacted, Appointment, Hired, Job done, Not hired, Unreachable. On each lead you can also enter the job total and what was paid. Those feed your Reports tab: leads received, hires, close rate, revenue from leads, and a CSV you can download.
What a hire counts for
A hire only you report counts 0.75. A hire the customer confirms, or reviews as hired, counts 1.0. So after the job, ask the customer to mark "I hired them" or leave a review. It is worth more than your own update.
Reading your numbers
Patterns
- Close rate under one in five: look at response time first, then at whether the leads match what you really do.
- Lots of "Unreachable": you are probably calling once. Use the four-touch cadence.
- High close rate, low revenue: raise your price limit on the services that make money and lower it on the ones that do not.
Questions
Why update a lead I lost?
Follow-through is 15 points of your score, and an unreported lead counts against you twice as hard as a reported loss. Honest losses help you; silence hurts you.
