How do I know a pro is licensed?

For licensed trades in Washington we check each pro's L&I contractor registration, bond and insurance against state records. The profile shows the registration number and the date we last checked, with a link to the state lookup so you can confirm it yourself.
In other states, our team confirms the license by hand. For trades with no state license, our team reviews the business instead.
A License checked badge on a profile means we confirmed the license.
