API and Integration Terms

Last updated: October 24, 2026

These terms apply when a pro uses infinibell API keys, webhooks or any connection that moves lead data into other software, and when a software company ("partner") uses a partner app. Sections 1 to 12 apply to pros; section 13 applies to partners. They add to the Pro Agreement; if they conflict, these terms control for the API.

  1. Access. API keys are created by an approved pro in Settings. A key belongs to that pro's account and can read and, if allowed, act on only that pro's account: leads, customers, messages, charges, credits, reviews, settings and metrics. Keys expire after 90 days. The pro can turn any key off at any time; a key that is turned off stays off.
  2. Keep keys secret. Treat a key like a password. Store it only on a server or in software you trust, never in a website's public code, a link, a shared document or a message. Anyone with your key can see your leads, including customer contact details. You are responsible for all activity using your keys. If a key may be exposed, turn it off at once and tell us.
  3. Your software provider. If you connect a CRM or other software (for example Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan, Zapier or your own system), that provider handles lead data for you. You must have a written agreement with it that requires it to use the data only to serve you, keep it secure, and not sell it or use it for its own marketing. You are responsible for what it does with the data.
  4. Permitted use. Use API data only to respond to and perform the customer's request and keep records the law requires, as described in the Pro Agreement. Do not sell, share, enrich, or combine lead data to build profiles or marketing lists.
  5. Security minimums. Use encrypted connections (TLS 1.2 or higher) for any endpoint that receives our webhooks, verify our webhook signatures, restrict access to people who need it, and keep systems patched.
  6. Webhooks. We send events to the address you give, signed with your secret. Delivery is best effort with retries; a failed or late delivery does not entitle you to a credit. The API remains the source of truth.
  7. Actions through the API. An action your software takes through the API (accepting a lead, sending a message, asking for a credit, pausing) has the same effect as the same action in the app, including any lead charge for accepting. You are responsible for actions taken with your keys and by apps you connect. A status or amount your software reports never charges or refunds by itself. Messages sent through the API must follow the Pro Agreement and Community Guidelines.
  8. Limits. We may set and change rate limits, reject abusive or excessive traffic, and suspend keys or webhooks that are misused or put customers at risk.
  9. Changes. We version the API. We give at least 6 months' notice before removing or renaming a field or endpoint you can use, except for security or legal reasons.
  10. Ending. When you stop using an integration or close your account, turn off your keys and webhooks, and have your provider delete lead data it no longer needs for the request or records within 30 days, or sooner if we ask.
  11. No endorsement. You may not say or imply that we endorse, certify or partner with you or your software without our written permission, or use our name or logo except to say your software connects to infinibell.
  12. Disclaimer. The API is provided "as is". The disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity, arbitration and governing law in the Pro Agreement apply.
  13. Partner apps. A partner that connects to pros through a partner app agrees to these terms on its own behalf as well:

a. Application and verification. The partner gives accurate company, contact, privacy policy and use information. New apps are limited to the partner's own and test accounts ("sandbox"). We decide in our discretion whether to verify an app, may ask for more information, and may suspend or revoke any app at any time; suspension stops all its tokens. b. Pro consent. The partner accesses a pro's account only after that pro allows it on our connect screen, only within the scopes the pro allowed, and stops as soon as the pro disconnects it. The partner may not ask pros for their API keys in place of the connect screen. c. Data use. The partner uses data only to provide its service to that pro, under its contract with the pro and section 4. It may not sell it, use it for its own or others' marketing, use it to contact customers for any purpose other than the pro's job, combine it across pros, or use it to train models for other customers. d. Security and incidents. The partner meets section 5, keeps client secrets and tokens on its servers, and tells us within 72 hours of learning of any unauthorized access to data from our API. e. Ending. When a pro disconnects or the app is suspended or closed, the partner stops using the tokens and deletes that pro's lead data it no longer needs to serve the pro or meet the law, within 30 days. f. Liability. The partner indemnifies us and the pros against claims arising from its breach of these terms or misuse of data. Sections 11 and 12 apply to partners.
