Question 1

Does vinyl fencing need maintenance?

Accepted Answer

Very little. Rinse it with water and mild soap to remove dirt. It will not rot or need painting, though it can crack under impact or in extreme cold.

Question 2

Does a pro need a license for vinyl fence installation?

Accepted Answer

Many states and cities require a contractor license or a permit for this kind of work. Ask for the license number and look it up with the state licensing agency before work starts.

Question 3

Does it cost anything to request a pro?

Accepted Answer

No. Requests are free for customers, with no obligation to hire.

Question 4

Who sees my request?

Accepted Answer

Only the pros you choose, plus our review team. Pros get your contact details only for this job.

Question 5

Are the pros guaranteed to be licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

No. We screen pros when they join and recheck some records on a schedule, but screening relies on public records and on what pros tell us, and it can miss things. Check the license and insurance yourself before work starts.

Question 6

What if no pro is listed for my ZIP yet?

Accepted Answer

Send the request anyway. We hold it and match you when a pro who serves your ZIP joins.
